Frequently asked

Can I make this Breakfast Casserole ahead of time?

Yes! The recipe instructs to chill for at least 30 minutes or overnight. This makes it perfect for prepping the night before—just bake fresh in the morning.

What size baking dish do I need?

A 9x13-inch greased baking dish works perfectly for this recipe, ensuring even cooking and a nice golden top.

Can I use whole milk or another milk alternative?

Absolutely. Whole milk gives a richer sauce, while 2% or unsweetened almond milk also work. Avoid skim milk for best texture.

Do I have to chill the casserole before baking?

Chilling helps the flavors meld and the breadcrumb topping set, but you can bake immediately if needed—just watch the baking time closely.

How do I know when the casserole is done?

The center should be set and a knife inserted near the middle comes out clean. The top should be golden and slightly puffed.
