Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 bag 32 oz frozen tater tots
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can 10.75 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Press the meat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk until smooth. Pour over the meat layer.
  • Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the soup mixture.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until tater tots are golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
  • Return to oven for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Ground turkey or chicken can be substituted for ground beef for a lighter option.
  • For extra flavor, add diced bell peppers or mushrooms to the meat mixture.
  • Leftover casserole can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
